— The Let Florida Vote initiative would amend Article VI, Section 5 of the Florida Constitution and allow all registered voters to vote in Primary Elections for state legislature, governor and cabinet regardless of political affiliation.
— All candidates for these offices, including party-affiliated candidates, appear on the same Primary Election ballot, and the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes advance to the General Election.
— If only two candidates qualify, no Primary Election is held, and the winner is determined in the General Election.
— To place this initiative on the 2026 General Election ballot, we must collect 891,523 verified petitions by Dec. 31, 2025. Those petitions must be collected from 8% of voters who voted in the 2024 Presidential Election in 14 of 28 Congressional Districts. If placed on the ballot and passed, it would go into effect Jan. 1, 2027.
